Back to Maine is figuratively, not literally. In July, I had been writing posts about my earlier trip to Maine and planned on doing posts a bit more regular than this but if you read my “When Life Happens” post in September, you know why I didn’t get back to it until now. I am happy to say – “knock wood” – that things are getting back to normal in our household and I will continue with my Maine posts and photos. I left off traveling around Portland and a few points north while attending our granddaughter’s graduation festivities. Graduation was on the 14th and the 15th; I headed further north. My first stop, on my way to Bangor, was at friend Liz’s home for a visit.
We chatted for a while and then took a drive and did what we love to do – gab and take pictures. 🙂 Below are few of the photos that I took while visiting with Liz that day. Some of these were posted on Facebook but I am posting here also for those that do not use FB. The photo below is an old abandoned home that is near her property. As you might imagine, I found this really neat and was quick to get some photos. I especially loved the yellow flowers blooming there.
We saw a few birds and a young buck. The woodpecker (downy or hairy??, I am not sure) was in her yard, and the Cedar Waxwing was peeking at me in a small park that we walked.
