Welcome to day 148 of 365 photos…Clyde Phillips Seafood Market is an old time fish market located between the two bridges in Swansboro, NC. This evening, I went to the area in hopes of getting a pretty sunset on the shrimp boats that are docked there. By the time I got there, all the puffy clouds that I thought would make a pretty sunset were gone. Since the sunset was pretty ordinary, I noticed that the lights were on in the market and decided to make it my photo today.
As you can see, there is nothing fancy about the place but the seafood comes straight off the boats from the docks behind the market. Not many places like this left. Have you every visited Clyde Phillips Seafood or a similar fish market?
Note that the shrimp boat, Capt. Phillips is on the dock to the left. This and the other boats on the dock are some of the most photographed boats around. It is rare to go there and be the only one with a camera in hand.
Glad that you stopped by my self-project of a photo a day for 365 days. If this is your first time to my site and you wonder what this 365 days of photos is all about, click HERE to read the original post. Settings are added to the photos so that I can remember what I’ve used and can see if any future photos done with other settings turn out better or worse. Remember, this project is all about my learning more about photography.
