Day 121 – 365 Project…Landing Zone

Welcome to day 121 of  365 photos…this great blue heron made the waterway near us his landing zone this morning. We had driven through Washington before today but never had been along the waterfront. To our delight, there is an awesome walkway along the waterfront. We hadn’t walked far when this guy landed. Herons are one of my favorite birds and I thought I would share this landing with you.Heron LandingGreat Blue Heron near Washington, NCDay 121 - 365 Project - Heron with legs up to landGraceful landingCamera: Nikon D7100 – Lens: Nikon 80-400mm

Glad that you stopped by my self-project of a photo a day for 365 days. If this is your first time to my site and you wonder what this 365 days of photos is all about, click HERE to read the original post. Settings are added to the photos so that I can remember what I’ve used and can see if any future photos done with other settings turn out better or worse. Remember, this project is all about my learning more about photography.

Check out E-liz Treasures to see what my friend in Maine is doing with her daily photos.

Comments are always welcomed. I would love to hear from you.

Very nice landing shots with good feather details. “Little Washington” is a nice little town.

Thanks, Paula. I just found out yesterday that it was called “Little Washington” when I was doing some reading on the town after being there.
